Deborah “Debbie” Kay Fields, 65, from Keaau died on October 20th at the Pohai Malama Care Center of Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was a former supervisor of food demonstrations, a member and pianist of the Heritage Christian Fellowship, and a pianist for the Family Christian Center and Living Faith Fellowship. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (November 6th) at the Heritage Christian Fellowship in Hilo. Service streamed live at 10 am Survived by daughters Kristen (Mario) Hernandez, Karlan (Kamalani) Osorio, Amy (Kaholo) Troy and Pearl (Jeremy) Flores; Son, Dustin (Daphnee) Fields; Sisters Kimberly Wehrsig and Tina Arquinez; Brother Shawn Kalles; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Laura Ruth Gharazeddine, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died at home on August 26th. Born in Kingston, NY, she was a member of the Hawaii County Democratic Party, serving as congressional delegate, district president, District 6 chairman and secretary, paddler and member of the Kai Opua Canoe Club, street rally racer and participant in The Great Race for several years. Survived by daughter Laura McBride of Arizona; Siblings, KT Savacool from California, Blair Savercool from New Jersey, Cecile Savercool Carpenter from New York, and David Savercool from New Jersey; former companion Maurizio Nascimben from New York; Hanai siblings, Brian Cornel of Kailua-Kona and Amy Joy Matsen of Waimea; Nieces, nephews and cousins. Irene Yoshie Kohara, 92, from Naalehu, died at home on October 19. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired cashier for the former Pick and Pay supermarket in Naalehu and a member of the Naalehu Hongwanji Mission. Public visit Tuesday (November 9th) 9-11am at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Private burial and burial follow. Casual wear; no flowers. Limited seating, face masks, and social distancing required. Survived by sons Glenn (Lynn) Kohara and Dan Kohara from Naalehu, Bert (Marlyse) Kohara from Hilo; Daughters, Marion (Erich) Stachowske from Michigan and Myra (Stanley) Eugenio from Ookala; Brothers, Rex (Charlotte) Yamasaki of Hilo and Ken (Hazel) Yamasaki of Oahu; Sisters Beatrice (Robert) Yokomizo from Oahu and Thelma Nino from California; Brother-in-law, Edward Toriano from Hilo and Clayton Murakami from Kaneohe, Oahu; Sister-in-law, Yuri Prentice of Austin, Texas; Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sheila Leimomi Libron, 56, from Hilo died on October 17 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Kohala and was Head Utility Steward at Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection. Private services at a later date. Survived by Hanai sons, Jonah Libron and Jacob Libron of Hilo; Mother, Elizabeth Libron of Hilo; Father, Nario Libron of Kohala; Brothers Garland Rocha of Kohala, Jeremy Libron of Hilo, Ikaika (Malia) Libron and Kekoa Libron of Kohala; Sisters, Lizel Libron Medeiros of Hilo and Narlynn (Blaine) Libron of Kohala; two nieces, seven nephews, six great-nieces, one great-nephew and one great-great-nephew. Elaine Lucille “sister” Hailikulamanuole Ludloff, 91, of Hilo died at home on October 4th. Born in Hilo, she was a retired private secretary for the County of Hawaii. Services 10-11 a.m. Saturday, November 13th, in the Haili Church, followed by a private service. Survived by sons Michael (Kathy) McPherson and James (Kirsty) McPherson of Washington, Steve (Patricia) Wilhelm of Hilo; Daughters, Meri McPherson of Hilo and Hualani Lyman Wilhelm-Key of Texas; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; Nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walter Robert Mattos, 80, of Hilo died on September 23 at the Pohai Malama Care Center at Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter for the State Port Department. Private services held. Survived by sons, Eric Mattos of Hilo, Gary Mattos of Baltimore, and Russell (Christine) Mattos of Keaau; Daughter Lori Mattos from Hilo; Sister Betty Jean Botelho from Hilo; Sister-in-law Miriam Mattos of Hilo; former spouse Sandy Mattos of Hilo; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; Nieces and nephews.
