Deborah “Debbie” Kay Fields, 65, from Keaau died on October 20th at the Pohai Malama Care Center of Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Tacoma, Washington, she was a former supervisor of food demonstrations, a member and pianist of the Heritage Christian Fellowship, and a pianist for the Family Christian Center and Living Faith Fellowship. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (November 6th) at the Heritage Christian Fellowship in Hilo. Laura Ruth Gharazeddine, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died at home on August 26th. Born in Kingston, NY, she was a member of the Hawaii County Democratic Party, serving as congressional delegate, district president, District 6 chairman and secretary, paddler and member of the Kai Opua Canoe Club, street rally racer and participant in The Great Race for several years. Irene Yoshie Kohara, 92, from Naalehu, died at home on October 19. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired cashier for the former Pick and Pay supermarket in Naalehu and a member of the Naalehu Hongwanji Mission. Elaine Lucille “sister” Hailikulamanuole Ludloff, 91, of Hilo died at home on October 4th. Born in Hilo, she was a retired private secretary for the County of Hawaii. Walter Robert Mattos, 80, of Hilo died on September 23 at the Pohai Malama Care Center at Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter for the State Port Department.
